Producer's Notes: "Way back in 2008, I traveled to Oakland to interview Lech Wierzynski. The California Honeydrops, had just released their debut album, Soul Tub. Lech warmly welcomed me into his home, and we had a laidback discussion about the band's roots and influences. I have always been enamored with their sound, a melting pot of jazz, blues, r'n'b and r'n'r. As Lech says, "Anything we like, we put it in there." This talented band has risen to stardom over the years, putting out numerous releases along the way. Hard to pick a favorite, but the title track from their 2010 album "Spreadin' Honey" sums up their philosophy. - Jesse"
