Producer's Notes: "While visiting New York City in June 2019, I had the pleasure to attend a swing dance event featuring The Revisionists. The band was brand new to me, but their sound was oh so familiar, expertly swinging through the Lindy Hop songbook. I was introduced to trumpeter and bandleader Danny Jonokuchi during a band break. Danny couldn't have been more welcoming, graciously gifting me a copy of their brand new debut album "Let Me Off Uptown". I was immediately captivated by “Knock Knock", an original number co-written by Danny and the band's incredibly talented vocalist Alexa Barchini. Inspired by "Sent For You Yesterday" by Jimmy Rushing and Count Basie, this song has all the quintessential elements of the 40s Kansas City sound: sassy blues vocals, swinging horn riffs, playful breaks and that shuffling rhythm! "You just keep on knocking, and I'll keep singing this song!"" - Jesse
